Arnold J. Chiasson, 88, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died Wednesday, March 25, at 9:35 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mathilde LeBlanc Chiasson; son, Ronald J. Chiasson and wife Geraldine Orgeron; daughters, Marlene C. Williams and husband Mike, and Melinda C. Donovan and husband Glenn; brothers, Raynold Chiasson and Eugene Chiasson; sisters, Mildred Rousse and Mary Jane Cheramie; grandchildren, Brent and Bryan Chiasson, Ruben and Steven Williams, Lauren, Leslie, Ian, Luke and Stephen Donovan; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Nora Barbier Chiasson; and brothers, P.J. and A.J. Chiasson.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La. He worked as a cattleman, school bus driver, and meat market owner.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
