Arthur J. “Pip” Barrilleaux, 87, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Monday, July 30, 2007, at 12:40 a.m.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan B. Eymard; one sister, Laura B. Lee; one brother-in-law, Robert Dillinger; one sister-in-law, Helen Barrilleaux Dardar; four grandchildren, Chad and Allison T. Eymard, Jennifer E. Sanchez and her husband Joe, and Celeste E. Neigel and her husband Nathaniel; and eight great-grandchildren, Dillon, Kaitlyn and Taylor Eymard, Emily and Matthew Sanchez, Jonas, James and Julianne Neigel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Dillinger Barrilleaux; his parents, Lawrence J. Barrilleaux Sr., and Philomena Marisco Barrilleaux; one son, James “Jimmy” Barrilleaux; one sister, Alice “Tee” Barrilleaux; and three brothers, Frank, Lawrence “Do Do” Jr., and Thomas Barrilleaux.
Arthur was a devout Catholic. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus Post No. 3150 for 66 years.
He is buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.
