Argument escalates; Raceland father charged in shooting

Audrey Mae Dufrene Gaubert, 73, a resident of Metairie, LA. and a native of New Orleans, LA., died at 12:10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., in which a mass will be held, Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, LA. Burial will be in the St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands, LA.
She is survived by one daughter, Nell Gaubert Ladieu; one brother, Oliver George Dufrene Sr.; two sisters, Olivia Ann Dufrene Zeringue and Rose Mary Dufrene Parker; and two grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Paul Gaubert; and her parents, Andrew George and Marie Louise Dufrene.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
