Austin “Bozo” Steven, 87, a native of Larose, La. and resident of Lockport, La. died Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at 4:55 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Leoncia Breaux Stevens; two sons, Paul Stevens and Ricky Stevens and his wife Lisa; two daughters, Joyce Miller and her husband Sidney and Sandra Petit and her husband Todd; one sister, Greta Boudreaux; one son-in-law, Philip Theriot; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Victoria Bourgeois Stevens; two daughters, Silvia Theriot and Janet Stevens; six brothers, Dudley, Elson, Nolan, Edward, Douglas, and Richard Stevens; three sisters, Gladys LeBlanc, Cecile Constance, and Vivian Malone; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Allemand Stevens; and one grandchild.

Austin was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Savoir Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.

Visitation is Friday, December 28, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Savoir Catholic Church in Lockport. He will be buried in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
