Barbara Smith Watts, 52, a native of Columbia, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013.
Mrs. Watts was a graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Nicholls State University. She was a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner. She was the director of Darnall, Sikes, Gardes and Frederick audit committee and president of the south central chapter of the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. She was also a member of the Nicholls State University accounting advisory board and treasurer of the St. Mary Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by her husband, David Watts; mother, Barbara Smith; and brothers, James and Charles Smith.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Smith; grandmother, Audi Wise; and her father.
Burial is at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Ala. (Hargrave)
