Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Berna E. Danos, 89, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010.
Mrs. Danos was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a retired cook and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Lester (Winona) Danos Jr.; daughters, Audrey (Lee) Plaisance and Gail (Robert Jr.) Marmande; brother, Harris Danos; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Lester Danos Sr.; parents, Joseph and Rosalie Cheramie Danos; daughter, Joyce Danos; brother, Roy Danos; sisters, Helen Plaisance, Elmire Martin, Hazel Fisher and Bernice Hogan; and one great-grandchild.
She is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
