Bernard Fedless Breaux Sr., 94, a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011.

Mr. Breaux was a graduate of LSU and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He worked as a legislative auditor until his retirement, after which he worked for area public agencies. He will be remembered as a charismatic person and a wonderful storyteller. He was Catholic and a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.


He is survived by his children, Elise (Stephen) Lisette, Bernard Breaux Jr., Margaret Fazzio and Eleanor (Billy) Wurzlow; sister, Myriam Winders; and sister-in-law, Joyce Breaux.

He was preceded in death were his wife, Margaret Breaux; son, Roy Breaux; and parents, Dr. Clayton and Victoire Breaux.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with mass to follow. Interment will be at St. Francis de Sales #1 Cemetery. (Chauvin)
