October 23, 2012Bernice Collins Griffin, 88, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012.
Mrs. Griffin was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, La., and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband, Athanas Griffin; sons, Floyd and Claude Griffin; daughters, Patsy Eymard, Sylvia Curole, Betty Terrebonne, Darlene Walker, Charlene Bourg and Phyllis Melancon; brother, Clifton Collins; sister, Victoria Collins; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floravant and Alicia Collins; brothers, Floyd and Lipton Collins; and sister, Florence Gambino.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
