Deadline nearing for recovery grant program

Bernice Patterson Hughes, 89, a native of Joaquin, Texas, and resident of Houma, LA., died Tuesday, February 6, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Joe and wife, Mary Margaret, and Leonard Hughes and wife, Judy; one sister, Adele P. Risinger; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce O. Hughes; one grandson, Chris Hughes.
She was a retired payroll clerk for J.C. Penney.
Falgout Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
