Betty Ann Labit Steele, 65, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:04 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.
Ms. Steele enjoyed playing cards, watching Saints games and loved her grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of Veteran’s Park.
She is survived by her son, Craig (Kim) Steele; daughter, Karen (John) Detwiler; brothers, Ralph, Roy, Francis, Philip and Larry Labit; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Labit Sr. and Marie Breaux; brothers, Davis, Joseph, Leon Jr. and Johnny Labit; and sister, Gloria Gaston.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
