Betty Ann Romero Frederick, 74, a native and resident of Berwick, La., died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010.
Ms. Frederick lived an amazing life. She was a long time member of St. Stephens Catholic Church, and she loved her Lord and did all she could to make his house beautiful. She was known as the “Domestic Goddess.” She was a member of the St. Stephens Church choir, the Altar Society and the St. Mary AARP.
She is survived by her sons, James Jr., Carol (Linda) and Rodney (Melinda) Frederick; daughters, Amanda Frederick and Patricia (Dean) Ashley; 10 grandchildren, Shawn St. Romain, Destiny Barrilleaux, Ashley Gros, Kayla LeBouf, Travis Frederick, Christopher Frederick, Jonathan and Quiana Ashley, Dana LaBouve and Traci LeBlanc; one step-granddaughter, Naomi Carter; and 17 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Caroline St. Romain, Abigail Gros, Aaron Barrilleaux , Tristan Comeaux, Abigail Comeaux , Alexander Comeaux, Megan Ashley, Blaize, Dakota, Angelina, Landon Stoltz, Lexie and Hunter LeBouef, Mary and Mason Leblanc, and Brandon and Nelson LaBowe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Frederick Sr.; one daughter, Melinda DiMatteo; parents, Vincent and Margaret Romero; sister, Lorena Concienne; brothers, Vincent Jr., Douglas, Freddie and Louis Romero; aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends; and Miss Kitti, her beloved cat.
She is buried at Berwick Cemetery.
