December 30, 2011Betty Jean Hamilton Thompson, 83, a resident of Morgan City, La., died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.
Ms. Thompson loved movies, popular music and television. The greatest joy of her later years was watching her grandchildren grow, and hearing of their latest activities. Her children will greatly miss her quick sense of humor and love of laughter.
She is survived by her children, Jonell Lombardo, David Thompson and Elizabeth Ledet; brother, Thomas Hamilton; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph deVance and Nelly Hamilton; and brother, Jimmy Hamilton.
Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
