Betty M. Borne, 70, a native Thibodaux, La. and resident of Ocean Springs, Ms., died Thursday, March 12.
She is survived by her three sisters, Evelina B. Pitre of Marerro, Mercedes B. Chiasson of Thibodaux and Patricia B. Pryal of Pass Christian, Miss; one brother, Sidney J. Borne of Delisle, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louvinia U. Borne Thibodeaux; her father, Albert Borne; step-father, Paul Thibodeaux; her sister and godmother, Frances B. Stevens; one brother, Daniel Borne, an infant nephew, one nephew, Maurice Pitre Jr., one great-niece, Theresa Pitre; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Usey, and Mr. and Mrs. Anatole Borne; and her godfather, Theophile Fakier.
She served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, La. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
