Area environment prompts holiday alternatives
December 5, 2011Betty Mae Rhodes, 76, a native of Bernice, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 7:36 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.
She is survived by her son, Glynn Rhodes; daughters, Judy Adams and Lisa Perkins; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Edward Rhodes Jr.; parents, Jeffery and Annie Dorris; daughter, Sandy Himel; brothers, Danny, James, Virgil and Jewell Dorris; sister, Marie Price; and grandson, Brandon Harrell.
Burial was at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Thibodaux. (Thibodaux)
