Betty Adams Matis, 76, a resident of Amite, La. died Monday, June 18, 2007 at 8:40pm.
She is survived by her son, Kimerly Trahan of Houma; one stepson, Frank Paul Matis, Jr. of Hahnville, La.; three stepdaughters, Mary Lou Matis, Lisa Rose Walleri, and Rita Catherine Matis; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Paul Matis, Sr.; her parents, Chester and Dolina Olivier Adams; one brother, Joseph Chester Adams; one sister, Dora A. Dufrene.
Betty was a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association and St. Charles Parish Teachers Association.
Visitation is Friday, June 22, 2007 from 9:00am until 11:00am with the funeral to follow at First Baptist Church of Raceland, La. She will be buried at St. Charles Cemetery in Lulling, La.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
