Beulah Marie Gautreaux Darcey, 96, a life long resident of Houma, La., died at 6:57 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010.


Mrs. Darcey was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Altar Society and a lector for years. She was a member of the East Park Volunteer Firemen Ladies Auxiliary and United Veterans League. She loved her family and enjoyed fishing, trawling, cooking, sewing, working outdoors, card games and dancing.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Donna) Darcey; grandchildren, Christopher (Jill) Adams and Christina Darcey; great-grandchildren, Jaice Bryan and Mallary Jade Adams; sister, Gloria (Michael) Jean Bergeron; brother, Leroy (Lamar) Gautreaux; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives.


She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lawrence and Chlotilde Boudreaux Gautreaux; husband, Joseph Antoine Darcey; sisters, Betty Triche and Eulah Cadiere; brother, Lawrence “Larry” Gautreaux Jr.; and second husband, Edgar “Doc” Boudloche.

Special thanks and love to her devoted caregivers; daughter-in-law, Donna Darcey, St. Joseph Hospice nurses, Tierney, Deidre, Eloisie and Brian and our very good friend, Nancy Chapman.

She is interred at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
