Blanche LeRay Noriega, 82, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011.
Mrs. Noriega was very devoted to her church, her family and her home. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed caring for them. She worked for the Sacred Heart Convent for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Timothy) Allen; son, James (Diane) Noriega; grandchildren, Jennifer and Daniel Allen, Rhonda (Byron) Mayon and Dr. James (Solange) Noriega; two step-grandchildren; half-brother, Henry (Judy) LeRay; and half-sister, Penny (Frank) Hernandez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry LeRay Sr. and Octavia Guillotte; husband, John Noriega; grandson, Timothy Allen; brothers, Ritney, Wilmer and Gilbert LeRay; sister, Rose Knudsen; half-brother, Joseph LeRay; and half-sister, JoAnn Lajaunie.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at Twin City Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
