Bobbie Joseph Dantin, 91, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013.
Mr. Dantin was a veteran of World War II and member of VFW Post 3665. He had a passion for the outdoors. He loved and protected his family most of all.
He is survived by his children, Bob (Janice) and Kirk (Rhonda) Dantin and Brenda (Allen) McKey; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Dantin; parents, Wilfred and Celeme’ Dantin; brothers, Bruce and Jules Dantin; sisters, Mabel Bourgeois, Vivian Adams, Clothilde Maureaux, Jeannette Daigle, Juliette Chaisson, Bernice Dantin and Della Margiotta.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
