Bonnie Jean LeCompte Lapeyrouse, 72, a native of Bayou Cane, La., and resident of Houma, La., died. Monday, July 16, 2007 at 6:45 a.m.


She is survived by one son, Craig Lapeyrouse and wife, Tami; four daughters, Claudette Robey and her husband Jim, Lisa Hebert, Jami Cox and her husband Scotty, and Greta Adams and her husband Rickie; one brother, Ray LeCompte Sr.; two sisters, Emma Lee Porche and Lou Jean Boudreaux; 10 grandchildren, Courtney Sevin, Clarissa Sevin, Brandon Hebert, Nicholas Hebert, Diego Cox, Aaron Fischer, Dustin Fischer, Braydon Lapeyrouse and Joshua and Kylee Lapeyrouse; and seven step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Carrie L. LeCompte; one brother, Alvin “Bill” LeCompte; and four sisters, Nell Domangue, Claudia Belinski, Ruby Duplantis and Joyce Marcel.


Bonnie was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 18, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 19, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma, with the funeral to follow at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She will be buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.

Memorial donations can be made to Bayou Region Hospice.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
