Houma riding instructor back in the saddle again

May 25, 2011Brenda Justilia Authement White, 61, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic minister and extraordinary minister for Shut-in and was a member of the Cursillo Movement.
She is survived by her husband, Adam James White; daughters, Barbara (Edward) Picou, Bernadette “Bernie” (Robert) McCoy, Donna (Ray) Price and Anne (Scott) Ziepke; brothers, Reggie Sr. and Wilfred Jr. Authement; sisters, Lois Domangue, Theresa LeBouef, Mercedes Brunet, Justilia Dupre and Joyce Sevin; 11 grandchildren, Adriane, Toni, Anthony, Adam, Cameron, Alex, Christian, Kimberly, Kayson, Cory and Amy; two great-grandchildren, Cullen and baby Foret on the way; godchild, Cindy Picou; and numerous nieces, nephews, her beloved Harley, and family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred Joseph Sr. and Cecilia Trahan Authement; brothers, Raymond, Edmond, William and Edward Authement; and three sisters, Merdias Authement, Rosalie Guy and Yvonne Authement.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice.
She is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Samart)
