Carlton “Willie” Verrett, Jr., 46, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, December 30, 2007.


He is survived by his daughter, Dinuate Calloway; five brothers, Reginal Verrett, Sr., Burton Fuislier, Jr., Gary Morris, Michael Sims, and Mark Verrett; six sisters, Gwendolyn Davis, Armenta Verrett, Angela Scott, Alenia Verrett, Katherlyn Celestin, and Twana Verrett; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carton Verrett, Sr., and Catherine Verrett Fusiler; and his grandparents, Cornelius Mitchell, Viola Scott Mitchell and Rev. Willie Ruffin, Sr.


Carlton was a devout Baptist.

He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was buried at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
