Carrol J. “C.J.” Rogers Sr., 89, a native of Mathews, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Friday, March 27, at 11:55 p.m.
He is survived by his sons, Carrol Rogers Jr. and wife Marie, Craig Rogers and wife Carol, and Jerry Rogers and wife Claudette; daughter, Cathy Robichaux and husband Warren; one step-brother; three step-sisters; son-in-law, Ronald Fontenot; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Detillier Rogers; parents, Oliver and Lourentia Gros Rogers; daughter, Linda Fontenot; brother, Van Rogers; sister, Aline Naquin; and two grandchildren.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at St. Mary Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
