Former TARC outreach director prepares to ‘kick it up a notch’ at helm

Catherine “Tede” Marie Marcel, 56, a native of Gray, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, July 23, 2007.
She is survived by her three sisters, Evelyn Lirette and her husband Allen, Tammy Folmer and her husband Eddie, and Dodi Burt and her husband Danny; four brothers, Eugene Marcel, Jr. and his wife Judy, David Marcel, Gary Marcel, and Steve LeBlanc; her special aunt, Alice Leonard; her long time friends, Debbie Poincot, Doneva Albarado, and their families; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Eugene and Mary Marcel, Sr.
Catherine was a friend to everyone, always giving a helping hand when needed. She enjoyed her casino bus trips with friends. “Tede” will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation is Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and Friday, July 27, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue, La. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangement.
