Cecile Alexander Barker, a native of Palestine, Tx., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, August 4, at 9:24 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Phillip, Mike, Jerry and Johnny Alexander; daughters, Debra Farkas, Mary Paul, Jolene Wright, Angel Garay and Odie Osteen; brothers, Avery, Pookie, and Benny Bergeron; sisters, Ruth Raffray, Susan Geraci and Gail Clark; 32 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Alexander; her second husband, Daniel Paul Barker; parents, Clifton and Cecile Bourg Bergeron; brothers, Gerald Bergeron and Clifton Bergeron; sister, Teetsie Caudell; and granddaughters, A.J. Staples and Amada Paul.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Palestine.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, August 7, at Living Gospel Church on Corporate Dr. in Houma with the funeral service to follow. She will be buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
