Cecilia Zakrzewski Daigle, 93, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, August 20, 2007 at 2:27 p.m.


She is survived by one son, Ronald Daigle and his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Catherine Daigle Parker and Marilyn Daigle Waguespack and her husband Donald; eight grandchildren, Carolyn Daigle Steele and her husband Kevin, Douglas Daigle and his wife Sherrie, Robert Waguespack and his wife Patrice, Christine Waguespack Landry and her husband Aaron, Donald Parker, Karen Parker Herman, Sami Parker Swan, and Cheryl Parker Word and her husband Wayne; 13 great-grandchildren, Matthew Steele, Michael Steele, Ryan Daigle, Heather Waguespack, Jude Waguespack, Aaron Landry Jr., Jacob Landry, Miranda Suchy, Charity Word Vandenberg and her husband Aaron, Camille Word, Shelby Word, Isabelle Word and Jeremiah Word; and three great-great-grandchildren, Trinity Vandenberg, Sage Suchy and Tatum Buchinski.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Daigle Jr.; and her parents, Peter Zakrzewski and Katherine Blinkiewicz Zakrzewski.

Cecilia was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She was a retired bookkeeper with Nick Martinolich and a member of the Catholic Daughters, Grand Regent, Business and Professional Women and Homemakers Club in Schriever.

Visitation is Thursday, August 23, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, La. She will be buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1 in Houma.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
