May 6, 2010Charles Joseph Fontana, 78, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Mathews, La., died Monday, April 26, 2010.
Mr. Fontana was a Eucharistic minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included gardening and painting.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theresa N. Fontana; children, Charles (fiancé Brenda) Fontana, Mary (Chuck) Quates and James (Tina) Fontana; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jeanne Ward, Steve Fontana, Peter Fontana, Merian Henry, Rosemary Pizzolato and Katherine Mizel.
Mr. Fontana is buried at St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery.
