Downed economy, cold makes hard job tougher

January 15, 2010Charles Francis Savoy IV, 37, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at 11 a.m.
He is survived by his father, Charles Savoy III.
He was preceded in death preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Duplantis Savoy.
He was the owner and creator of Sam and Jim Acting Company. He was a producer, director, actor, artist and musician. He graduated from UNO and also attended Nicholls State University. He belonged to the Nicholls players, UNO players and Le Petit Theatre.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terrebonne Parish Humane Society.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Chauvin Funeral Home. He will be buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, La.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
