Charles J. LeBlanc, 83, a native of Labarre, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, September 4.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lawrimore LeBlanc; two sons, Dr. Charles Andre “Andy” LeBlanc and wife Lori, and Judge John E. LeBlanc and wife Denise; one daughter, Linda LeBlanc Ward and husband Bill; one sister, Isabel LeBlanc Lasseinge and husband Cliff; one brother, Jules LeBlanc and wife Viola; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, Jules LeBlanc; his mother, Celine LeBlanc; two brothers, Henry and Edward; five sisters, Philomene, Ursula, Regina, Theresa and Agnes; and one grandson, Mitchell Ward.

He was a practicing attorney for more than 50 years and was known as the oldest practicing attorney in Thibodaux. He was a U.S. World War II veteran. He was a devout Catholic and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Elementary School or E.D. White Catholic High School.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
