Charles J. Matherne, 67, a native of Des Allemands, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died at 8:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010.
Mr. Matherne was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Terrebonne Matherne; sons, Toby (Joann), Rafe (Wendy), and Dr. Heath (Celeste) Matherne; daughters, Gina (Guy) Chiasson and Tara (Dean) Dore’; brothers, Morris “Bucky” Matherne Jr., and Roy and Lynn “Bozo” Hogan; sisters, Betty Dufrene, Geraldine Mahan, Beatrice Barbier, Rosalie Beadle, Sandra Yokum and Deborah Daigle; 13 grandchildren; and four step-granchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Sr. and Alta Hogan Matherne; and one sister, Faye Powell.
In lieu of flowers Masses are preferred.
