Charles Mitchel Camp, 72, a native of Carthage, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011.


Mr. Camp served in the US Army and retired with 27 years of service from T. Baker Smith and Sons, Inc. He was a member of the Louisiana Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Society and was an avid fisherman, historian, football fan and reader. He loved spending time at his camp.


He is survived by his wife, Sally Camp; son, Mitchel (Peggy) Camp; daughters, Tina Balay and Michel Olivier; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bertie Camp.

Interment was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
