Charles Percy “C.P.” Norman Sr., 70, a native and resident of Gibson, La., died Sunday, March 23, 2014.
Mr. Norman was a deacon at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and a Mason with Pomegranate Lodge 135 in Gibson.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Norman; sons, Charles Jr. (Stephanie) and Corrnell (Charlotte) Norman and Ernest Gray; daughter, Chartina Norman; brothers, Joseph Sr. (Leona), Leroy Sr. (Diana), Bernard (Ethel) and Benjamin (Darlene) Norman; sisters, Constance Bailey, Patricia (Harry) Granger and Brenda (Herbert) Scott; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Norman; parents, Albert Sr. and Eula Mae Norman; daughter, Charan Norman; brother, Albert Norman Jr.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Community)
