Charles W. Brown Sr., 90, a native of Natchez, Miss., and resident of Bayou L’Ourse, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.
Mr. Brown served his country as a U.S. Army staff sergeant during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 242 in Patterson, La., and loved fishing and working in his garden.
He is survived by his children, Charles Jr. (Ginger) and Patrick Sr. (Maxine) Brown and Deborah (Roy) Bergeron; sisters, Jewel Bonds and Edna Perrin; eight grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Roine Brown; wife, Essie Brown; five brothers; and three sisters.
Interment with military honors was at Morgan City Mausoleum. (Twin City)
