Chester Chiasson
Chester Chiasson, a resident of Lafourche Parish, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.
Mr. Chiasson was an administrator and financial consultant. He was co-chairman of the Louisiana Society for Cripple Children, executive vice president of the 10th Ward Veterans Corporation and director of operations for the 10th Ward Veterans Memorial District. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran who received numerous metals for bravery. He attended Nicholls Junior College and worked 16 years for the Lafourche Parish school board. He enjoyed collecting coins and guns, carpentry and yard work and loved playing football, basketball, baseball and softball.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Chiasson; daughter, Kathleen Hunter; brother, Michael Chiasson; sister, Grace Pellegrin; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Nora Chiasson; grandparents, Henry and Thelma Chiasson and Ellis and Elisia Arabie; brother, Rodney Chiasson; and sister, Betty Boudreaux. (Falgout)
