Clarence Brown Sr., 74, a native and a resident of Morgan City, La., died at 5:16 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.


Mr. Brown attended Morgan City Colored High School where he was known to be a fun loving person. He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. He loved his church family.


He is survived by his sons, Clarence Jr. and Billy (Stephanie) Brown and Carlos (Connie) Bias; daughters, Dana, Clarice, Candice and Regina Brown, Nicole (Rondell) Bowman and Andrea and Lisa Johnson; brother, Lionel (Orena) Brown; sisters, Ruby Collins and Dorothy Johnson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores D. Brown; parents, Clarence Brown and Rosetta Ford; one son; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Jones)
