Mr. Clarence “Tom” Adams, 61, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Aug. 7.

He is survived by his wife, Beryl Morgan Adams; four sons, Troy Sims, Jarandon Adams and wife Kristy, Shone Sims and wife Michelle, and Christopher Sims and wife Sherry; two brothers, James McPherson and Ben Adams and wife Laura; one sister, Mercedes McPherson Jackson; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Brown and Helen Adams; two brothers, Edward and Freddie McPherson; and grandparents, Lewis and Rebecca Jackson Adams.

He was Baptist and a member of New St. Matthews Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and enjoyed fishing and being with his boys.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at New St. Matthews Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Crescent Farm Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
