Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Classy C. Thomas, 71, a native of Schriever, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009.
Mrs. Thomas was Baptist.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Rounds; sons, Raymond Jr. and David Rounds; sisters, Dorothy, Maggie and Rosa Lee Antoine, Louvenia Henry, Clara Bell Rhines, Pearlie Anderson, Shirly Wesley and Mary Neylon; brothers, Preston and Lester Antoine and Warren Williams Sr.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas; parents, B. Collins and Lillie Anderson; daughter, Burnette Brown; brother, Clarence Anderson; and sister, Ruby Harris.
She is buried at Halfway Cemetery in Gray.
Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
