Collins Joseph Detiveaux, 88, a native of Bourg, La. and resident of Houma, La. died Monday June 11, 2007 at 10:05am.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael Detiveaux and his wife Lillian and Daniel Detiveaux; one daughter, Phyllis D. Dugas and her husband Huey; one sister, Marceline D. Babin; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Babin Detiveaux; his parents Camille and Alice Rogers Detiveaux; two brothers, James and John Detiveaux; three sisters Ann Detiveaux, Cornelia D. Bergeron, and Cecelia D. Crisostoms.
Collins was devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country during World War II with the 7th Armored Division. He was a retired pumper / compressor operator who worked for Texaco for 30 years.
Visitation is Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm and on Thursday, June 14, 2007 from 8:00am until the funeral at Chauvin Funeral Home. The Funeral is Thursday, June 13, 2007 at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He will be buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
