Constance “Connie” Lasseigne, 76, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, after four years of a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Lasseigne; daughter, Gwen (Glenn) Foret; sons, Daryl and Lynn (Patsy) Lasseigne; three grandsons, Steven Foret, Bradley Lasseigne and Dawson Lasseigne; sister, Ora Gilly; stepsister, Aline Murry; and brother, Roland Chiasson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ora Chiasson; her adopted parents, Steven and Aline Richard; and two brothers, Francis and Olden Chiasson.
Special thanks to Dr. Schweitzer and her staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Cancer Center and to Grace, Felechia and Antoinette of Journey of Hospice for their loving care that they gave her. Also special thanks to Deacon Ambrose Ayzinne who brought her communion every Monday.
At her request her body was donated to the L.S.U. Medical Center.
