Corbert J. Breaux Jr., 82, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Broussard, La., died Saturday, April 2, 2011.


Mr. Breaux was a member of the First Baptist Church of Broussard and proudly served his country as a Sergeant of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Master Mason-Unity Lodge No. 267 in Houma, La., and the Hugh Daspit No. 301 Lodge in St. Martinville, La. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and restoring old cars. Mr. Breaux will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


He is survived by his wife, Doris Watkins Breaux; sons, Keith (Sharon) and Randy (Melinda) Breaux; five grandchildren, Courtney (Tommy Jr.) Dyson, Justin (Britney) and Morgan Breaux, and Brittany and Lauren Loupe; and six great-grandchildren, Luke, Camryn, Emily and Jake Dyson, Isabella Breaux and Brennen Bishop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbert Sr. and Ella Burns Breaux; and seven siblings, Gladys Chaisson, Ruth Naquin, Ruby Boudreaux, Gertrude Guidry, and Marie, James and Allen Breaux.
