Cortney Jamal “Buff” Williams, 25, a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, December 9.
He is survived by his devoted friend, Kayla Williams; mother, Martha Skidmore; father, Clayton Shelvin; stepfather, Ernest Skidmore; sons, Kendall Jamal Williams and Jalen Jamal Jones; stepdaughter, Katelynn Carter; brothers, Clayton Williams, Jeremy Shelvin and Ernest Channing Skidmore; sisters, LaTausha Williams, Cantrell Shelvin and Rasheedah Shelvin; and grandmother, Mary Elouise Bonnet.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elestine Westley; and grandmother, Dorothy Victor.
He was Baptist and a member of First Corinthian Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 12, at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, at First Corinthian Baptist Church with burial to follow at Halfway Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
