Telethon hits the airwaves for worthy cause

Curtis Thomas Comeaux, 92, a native of Avoca Island, La., a former resident of Marrero, La., and a resident of Morgan City, La., died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2010.

Mr. Comeaux was a retired boiler maker for Dixie Machines in New Orleans, La. He was an active member of the Golden Age Club of Morgan City and twice served as king of their annual ball.


He is survived by his half-sister, Wanda (Bob) McClelland; stepdaughter, Barbara (Pete) Bertucci; one step-granddaughter; four step-great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren; niece and caregiver, Audrey Comeaux; special friend, Josie Folse; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Philomise Robicheaux Comeaux; wife, Thelma Moore Comeaux, three brothers, Rivers, Edward and Moise Comeaux; and one nephew, Andrew McClelland.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Francis Metz III, E. R. staff and 6th floor nurses at Teche Regional Medical Center, Southern Care Hospice of Houma, Morgan City Health Care Center, and caregivers, Roberta Mire and Marie Toups.

He is buried at Morgan City Cemetery.
