Construction on Bayou-themed kids’ museum to begin soon

Curtis Joseph Leblanc Sr., 60, a native of Larose, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, June 10, 2011.


Mr. Leblanc was a member and past president of the Lafourche Parish Cattleman’s Association. He enjoyed washing cars, penning up cows and loved to go crabbing and dancing. He was OCD and he defined the term.


He is survived by his companion, Joyce Freche; mother, Dorothy Leblanc; children, Tifiney, Michelle, John (Sharla) and Curtis (Sabrina) Leblanc Jr. and Carla (Chad) Bouzigard; sister, Sharlene Guidry; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Leblanc; step-father, Junior Loupe; and grandparents.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 at Holy Rosary with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
