Curtis Joseph Olivier Jr., 77, a native of Bourg, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010.


Mr. Olivier was a parishioner of St. Anthony. He was a retired diesel mechanic/supervisor with N.L McCullough for 27 years. He loved duck and rabbit hunting, fishing, cooking and spending all his valuable time with family.

He is survived by his son, Thomas (Vicki) Olivier; daughter, Gwen (Donald Jr.) Melancon; brother, Larry Olivier; sisters, Arlene Guidry and Yvonne (Riley) Leboeuf; seven grandchildren, Nicole Dunne, Krystal Trosclair, Dustin Olivier, Bryson Olivier, Brittany Melancon, Brandy Melancon and Donald “Bop” Melancon III; and 10 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney and Kylie Dunne, Hayden and Logan Trosclair, Hailey Olivier, Coby Olivier, Nickolas and Brooklyn Melancon and Hadrian Thibodaux.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hutchinson Olivier; parents, Curtis Sr. and Dulcie Boquet Olivier; two sons, Randall and Kevin Marc Olivier; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Olivier; and two sisters, Joanne Olivier Ard and Dolores “Sue” Olivier Hebert.

He is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
