Raising homes reaches above the threat
April 26, 2011David Paul “Monk” Adams, 56, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:42 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Loretta Voclain; son, David Jr.; daughter, Jana Adams; four grandchildren, Deante’ “Tookie”, Ky’Lyn and Ja’Lyn Adams, and Brittany Velasquez; numerous nieces and nephews; two Godchildren, Brandi Adams and Jessica Duet; brothers, Jerry (Julianne “Penny”), Robert (Angela), Donald “Duck” (Liz), Rickie (Greta) and Stephen (Penny) Adams; and sisters, Brenda (Michael) Samanie, and Debra (Craig LeBouef) Champagne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Valdia Jr. and Eula Lapeyrouse Adams; grandparents, Valdia Sr. and Elizabeth “Bessie” Moore Adams, and Louis and Gladys Dupre Lapeyrouse; one brother, Valdia Adams III; and one niece.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Leukemia Society. (Falgout)
