BOEM demands ‘worst case scenario’ planning

Deeanna Cheramie Higgins, 53, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Coden, Ala., died at 7:13 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Higgins; father, Odeno Cheramie Jr.; sons, Carl LeBlanc Jr. and Richard Jr. and Ryan Greene; stepson, Jeremy Higgins; daughters, Angelia Rohe, Toni Demere, Shelly LeBlanc, Richelle Cheramie and Richanna Greene; stepdaughters, Reva Nielson and Jessica Harvey; brother, Michael Cheramie; sisters, Heidi Melancon, Jamie Beamon and Stella Franklin; and 24 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery.
