Della Mae Driskill, 73, a native of Franklin, La., and longtime resident of Berwick, La., died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.


Mrs. Driskill loved her Lord and enjoyed singing his praises as a regular member of Twin City Gospel Temple. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend she loved to cook for her family and was known for her seafood and baking. A gardener of both vegetables and flowers, she was able to give to others from the surplus. She loved to give and was always looking for ways to help those in need.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Driskill; sons, Everett Jr. (Sheila) and Troy (Frances) Driskill; daughters, Delilah (Forest) Dupuis and Stephanie (Harris Sr.) DeHart; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara LeBlanc Martinez.


She is preceeded in death by her parents, Roy and Adella Ribardi Granier; grandson, Christopher Paul Blair; and sister-in-laws, Winnie Menard and Madilyn Bancroft.

The family request that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Twin City Gospel Temple, 215 Canton St., Berwick, LA 70342.

She is interred at Berwick Mausoleum. (Hargrave)
