Della Rita “Ma Ma Dell” Lirette, 80, a native and resident of Chauvin, La. died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 8:45am.
She is survived by her three sons, Michael and his wife Sherile, Dane and his wife Kathy, and Patrick and wife Phyllis Lirette; eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison John Lirette; her parents, Ambrose and Mary Authement; one grandson, Craig Lirette; three brothers, Malvin, Elgin, and Hewitt Authement; and two sisters, Lucy DeFelice and Madrid Authement.
Della was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. She was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Ladies Alter Society, and Woodmen of the World. She loved to cook and work in her garden.
Visitation is Saturday, June 30, 2007 from 9:00am until the funeral at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chauvin, La.
