Sheriff’s ranges give public a new target
March 11, 2010Delta Theresa Cheramie Bye, 76, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bridge City, La., died Monday, March 1, 2010.
Mrs. Bye was a member of the Holy Guardian Angel’s Parish Family, and president of the Holy Guardian Angel’s Women’s Club for more than 30 years. She was a retired school bus driver for the Jefferson Parish School Board.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ruben P. Bye; daughters, Celeste (Scott) Valence, Angela Bye and Denise (Robert) Lott; three grandchildren, Jared (Loni) and Owen Valence, and Meredith Lott; one great-grandchild, Alyssa Valence; and a host of relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertoul and Eulicia Dufrene Cheramie; brothers, Nelson Sr., Patterson and Bertoul Cheramie Jr.; and sisters, Rita Trosclair and Leona Chauvin.
The family extends its thanks to the staffs of Ochsner Foundation – Jefferson, Wynhoven Health Care and Fisher High School for their care and support.
She is buried at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home of Marrero is in charge of arrangements.
