Dennis Albert Billiot, 68, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011.


Mr. Billiot proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a retired patrol officer from the Morgan City Police Department. He enjoyed playing racquetball in the Police Olympics where he won many awards. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Billiot; sons, Dennis and Patrick (Melanie) Billiot; daughter, Monica (Gabriel) Tudorache; brothers, Joe and Sidney Billiot; sisters, Daisy Billiot and Betty Young; half brothers, Ernest, Preston and Willard Billiot; half sisters, Anna Daigle, Nat DeHart, Lily Torres and Madina Billiot; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Billiot; his mother, Daisy Konesky; stepfather, Walter Konesky; and brother, Eugene Billiot.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Hargrave Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. Burial with military honors will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
