Dennis Paul Hebert Sr., 85, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2010.


Mr. Hebert was a roughneck for Texaco for 38 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church and he served for the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Aucoin Hebert; son, Dennis (Mary) Hebert Jr.; daughter, Amanda (Audie) Boudreaux; four grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Linton, Ben (Heide) Hebert and Tracy (Nick Bascle) and Kurt (Edie) Boudreaux; six great-grandchildren, Kimberly Linton, Brooke Hebert, Lainee Piazza and Blaine, Seth and Tyler Boudreaux; and sister, Daisy Champagne.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Abbie and Angelique Lirette Hebert; grandaughter, Sean Hebert; great-granddaughter, Courtney Boudreaux; and brothers, Raymond and Philton Hebert.

The family would like to thank Dennis’ caregivers, Philip Bergeron, Susan Dardar and the Hospice of South Louisiana.

He is buried at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
